Affinity Photo, Luminar, Pic Monkey and more. You can edit photos in any of these programs, so which one is right for you?
This answer is not straightforward as it may seem. It depends on many factors including what type of photographer you are, and also what is your end goal for the image. For example: If you like to shoot off 100's or 1000's of the same photo and choose the best one later on, you are going to need Luminar. So why Luminar and not Affinity Photo? Luminar is a program designed to be a multiple image editor and/or catalog editor. It can catalog and organize images, and it allows you to apply one edit to many similar photos with one click. You can also rate each photo from best to worst.
Now, lets say you want to take one of your photos and put a logo on it, or add some graphic design elements to it. Now you are looking at Affinity Photo. This photo editor can edit one photo at a time without the use of Luminar. You have to open each photo, one at a time, edit your photo, and add some graphic design to it.
If you need something just easy, with templates, using stock photos or your own photos, PicMonkey is ideal.
What exactly is photo editing? Let me show you - See these side by side comparison photos edited in Luminar. Which one would you put on a business report or social media? Every photo needs a little editing to make it the best it can be.
